I have read a couple of people complain of jams and problems with it out of the gate. This was not the case for me. I took it home after buying, gave it a good cleaning and off to the range I went. Not one jam, misfire, stovepipe or anything negative after 200 rounds.
The gun does come VERY stiff and I can see that it will need a bit of time and activity to loosen up, but it was by no means a deterrent. I now have my sights set on the SR9 and the LC9. This was a great investment.

We bought this pistol for my wifes carry pistol. We went to the range the day after we purchased it. I oiled it right when we got home it was very dry from ruger. The wife loaded up the 10rd mag. The first clip she had 3 miss fires (light strikes). I tried different ammo just for giggles and same thing. I noticed that the slide wasnt seating all the way back. I took it back to gander the sales associate racked it and dry fired it and instantly felt the slide move. Right now they have it waiting to hear from the gunsmith and see what they say. Ive read alot of reviews and havent heard of any other problems like this so i guess we got a lemon.

Comments about Ruger SR9c Handgun:
Great little gun! I feel a lot more comfortable having the 1911 safety feature on this, versus just having the "Glock" safety trigger. I have ran 200+ rounds through it so far with only one failing to chamber, which turned out to be the ammo's fault. The gun was extremely accurate right from the beginning and I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Comments about Ruger SR9c Handgun:
The SR9C is a great compact. I do suggest that you clean the weapon prior to shooting as there does seem to be quite a bit of factory grease in the slide. The gun did fail to eject a few casings during the first trip to the range but that seems to have been cured after the first cleaning. Also be aware that you should not dry fire the gun without an empty magazine in. Ruger states this will cause damage. If all else fails Ruger's customer service is way above par!

Comments about Ruger SR9c Handgun:
I picked up this gun in April from gander mountain, i have put roughly 6000 rounds through it in training and plinking,I love everything about this gun, i have had no malfunctions at all. the trigger on this gun is incredible and makes for a very accurate session, it is the gun i wear everyday since I got it it is thin enough to wear with a t shirt and shorts. my wife and father(a wheelgun lover) now have one after shooting mine and my friend is looking for one after training with it, i told him to go to gander cuz they know what they are talking about at least in the Harrisburg location. will never part with this gun

Comments about Ruger SR9c Handgun:
Yesterday was like Christmas morning for me... I went and picked up my carry permit, then straight to the gun shop on Ft. Bragg. I went there a few days earlier to, once again, check out the S&W Bodyguard I had decided to purchase once my carry permit was ready... From previous purchases, I got to know one of the sales personnel pretty well. He told me they were out of the S&W Bodyguards and it may be quite a while before they get anymore in (AAFES has a real "unique" method of resupply), but, he asked if I would like to see the SR9c they just got in that morning. As soon as I had this little beauty in my hand, I instantly changed my mind for my concealed carry firearm!! I'm not a big guy, but my hands are pretty wide for as short as I am. The SR9c fit almost perfectly with the 10-round clip! I would've had to purchase the extender seperately had I stuck with the S&W, and even so, I wasn't 100% positive that it would've felt comfortable in my hands. I didn't get home until late last night, so I didn't get to try out the Ruger, and unfortunately have school tonight, so Friday after work should be fun!! This is a nice looking gun, light, feels good in the hand, and conceals well. Being retired military, I am able to purchase on military installations, so I saved about sixty bucks compared to the listed price for Gander Mtn. Reading the other posts, I have no doubt that I made a wise choice with this Ruger. I only use Federal or Winchester ammo in all my firearms - I do understand folks wanting to save money here and there, but with the possibility of FTE or stovepipes, I'll pay the extra few bucks for a more reputable brand of ammo to know that I should never have that issue. Good (and safe) shooting to all!!

Comments about Ruger SR9c Handgun:
Own another Ruger 9mm(p95)and love it. This gun is no exception. Solid performance clip after clip(300 rounds so far). I did not find the same reliability when using the 17 round clip. After each shot the trigger would hang up and slowly rebound. No issues with 10 rounder.
