Product Description
berkley As the longest-casting, thinnest, strongest, and most sensitive line on the market today, Berkley NanoFil allows you to go lighter than ever before, to throw small spinners farther and to finesse small baits with greater ease. Not a mono, not a fluorocarbon, and not a braid-NanoFil feels and handles like a smooth monofilament with the performance characteristics of a braid. Thin, smooth texture, minimum diameter, and maximum strength for effortless casting precision and distance without sacrificing performance. NanoFil consists of hundreds of Dyneema gel-spun polyethylene nanofilament fibers molecularly linked and shaped into a unified-filament fishing line, giving it superline-class strength. Zero stretch and ultra-small diameter provide ultimate sensitivity to feel everything from the lightest pickups to the most jarring strikes. Zero memory virtually eliminates line tangles. Incredibly high strength/diameter ratio. Designed for use with light- to medium-weight spinning tackle. 150-yd., 300-yd., and 1500-yd. Spools. Clear Mist. 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12-lbs. test.

I tie the line according to the recomendation on the product and I use a small swivel. I throw spinner baits and buzz baits. I also use a small 1/64oz lead and a 7" plastic worm with 3/0 hook. I have caught 10 Bass in 5 hours using 6-lb test NanoFil line with my plastic worms.

Comments about Berkley NanoFil Uni-Filament Fishing Line, 300 yds.:

I had re-spool a couple of reels, and having read some of the other early reviews decided to give the 10Lb. /300' spool a try. On the package it says to read the Knot Instruction on the spool. Do that! Berkley recommends a "Nano-Knot", which is nothing more than a Double Palomar Knot (wet it!). Quick & easy to tie. This line is Super Slick to the touch. It reminds me of the white Teflon tape that you use to seal pipe fittings with. It spooled up nicely on my reels, my hand didn't even get warm while applying tension to the line. This line is tough as well. Couldn't just nip it with a clipper like mono, had to use a sharp scissors like you do for braid. You can get an idea of the Bonded Strands in it if you use a dull cutter. I tried a few casts with it --WOW--Really! I can understand why some folks have been catching trees on their first few casts. It gets a little slicker when wet as well. This line FLOATS like Mono, so keep that in mind. The line is crystal white, very thin, strong, very limp and no stretch line. I'm going to have to spend a couple of days on the water with it, but have good expectations. I'll use a direct tie as well as with a Floro leader to see what results I get.

Comments about Berkley NanoFil Uni-Filament Fishing Line, 300 yds.:

Keep having to re-tie after you catch a few. this line frays easy. and seems to catch less fish when the bite is slow, compared to a clear line. I have this line on three reels, and plan to re-place it. I fish at least 8=9 mo a yr. If this line was transparent, and didn't fray so easy, It would be worth the $$$$$.
