Springfield XD 45 Service Handgun

I own the 4" 45 and SA makes a great gun here but it is a bit bulky and heavy for a concealed carry weapon in some instances such as in a vest or coat pocket, not that it can't be done but it is best suited to carry in the waistband with a good quality belt.

Because of the high capacity it has a thick grip and may not fit those with smaller hands and / or short stubby fingers. Also it has a stiff recoil spring which might make it hard for the fairer sex to rack the slide but does loosen up a little after about 100 rounds.

On to the better qualities; A melonite finish which is very durable and resists the salt from sweat, it's well made and designed, the high capacity and extra mag it comes with makes it formidable and if another mag is purchased you have almost a full box (50) of ammo on you, it is a snap to break down and clean, it has numerous safeties in place and indicators to let you know in the dark if it is loaded and ready to rock, it is accurate and it can take some abuse. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for an excellent firearm for protection and medium game hunting
