I used a worm threader and threaded it on to a long hook. I trolled it, so make sure that it runs strait.

These minnows are amazing! I have caught trout, spotted bass, largemouth bass, stripers, blue gill, crappie, blue catfish, and channel catfish with these this winter and spring. The catfish were caught accidentally. I use 211 Gamakatsu jig heads. They are the key, as the minnows hold extremely well on these and not well on other types of jig heads. The best colors are smelt, rainbow, and black shad. When nobody else is catching trout my fishing friends and I have been catching fish like crazy. Just cast and reel in slowly and enjoy the fight.

These things are amazing. Once i even caught a fish that wasnt even hooked, it was just hanging on the line. Works great with a small jighead and you will tear the crappie up.

Comments about Berkley Gulp! Minnow, 2.5":
These are unreal in the rivers and lakes here in Connecticut for trout. You will need to find good jig heads and try a stinger hook in the tail section. Best action is slow lift/jig motion - when the bait flutters down - get ready for a quick hit.
Only problem with them was that someone stole mine from my car while parked checking out another spot.

Comments about Berkley Gulp! Minnow, 2.5":
I have caught so many fish on these things! I have outfished any fisherman on the Roanoke River catching trout. The scent is amazing and they look sooo realistic. The only problem is they don't stay on your hook very well so you go through them pretty fast. Definetely in my top five softbaits! Works well on a jig head. Highly recommended.
