thompsoncenter_arms The Triumph .50-Caliber Muzzleloader with Fiber Optic Sight from Thompson/Center Arms features Speed Breech XT and toggle lock action for easy priming and cleaning. This muzzleloader features a 209 primer ignition with a tip-up barrel design that provides greater access to the breech area and an alloy receiver that balances the weight for natural handling. Speed Breech XT can be removed by hand for easy cleaning and features three gas compression rings that help eliminate 95% of corrosive fouling. Lifetime limited warranty.

  • Maximum 150-grain approved propellant capacity for one-time shooting
  • 28" Realtree AP HD camo patterned tip-up barrel with toggle lock action for greater access to breech area for easier priming and cleaning
  • Factory set trigger features a 3- to 3.5-lb. trigger pull with automatic block safety to help prevent accidental shooting
  • Fiber optic sight helps you fine-tune your shot
  • Speed Breech XT can be removed by hand with a 90° rotation
  • Opening series of locking lugs on Speed Breech XT prevent breech plug from getting seized

    I have never shot or owned a muzzleloader prior to the Thompson/Center Arms Triumph .50-Caliber Muzzleloader. Out of the box I installed a Omega 3x9 and it shoots great, I am getting a 5/8 inch center to center, three shot group at 100 yds using Hodgdon Triple Seven Pellets 50/50 @ 100 gr. of powder and hornady 300 gr. Low Drag Sabot SST with Winchester "Triple Se7en" Muzzle loading 209 Primers. I could not be happier.

    Problem with this rifle

    Barrel was loose when I purchased this gun. Tested at the range and after 7 shots the gun would no long ignite the primer.

    Barrel was loose when I purchased this gun. Tested at the range and after 7 shots the gun would no long ignite the primer.
    I Contacted TC and they told me to return it. $ 40.00!
    TC repaired it and test fired it.
    I returned to the range to site in the scope. After 12 shots the gun refused to ignite the primer again.
    Deer season two weeks away and I am very disappointed.
    Contacted TC and they are no longer sympethetic.
    They seem to blame me for using a name brand 209 Primer.

        started shooting muzzel loaders in the 70's and like everything else tc sells this is a fine rifle.groups great,have shot it twice in field and harvested 2 nice bucks.easy to handle,reliable and most of all accurate.

          I've been shooting muzzleloaders for about 10 years. Purchased my Triumph from Gander in November of 2009 and now have two full years of hunting and range shooting with this rifle. I can say with full confidence that this is one of the finest shooting muzzleloaders now manufactured ( Made in America-unlike the CVAs). This rifle is mated with a Redfield revolution 3x9x40 scope. I use 110 grains of Blackhorn 209 with 250 grain shockwave sabots with CCI m209 primers and can hold a sub 1" group at 100 yards. The longest shot I've taken a deer with the Triumph was roughly 155 yards but I have full confidence that the kill range is much farther then that. The "Speed Breech" is a great feature. Cleaning is so easy that I almost feel guilty. It's a great gun for hunters or target shooting and the limbsaver recoil pad works very well. T/C hit a home run with this one.

            I've read a lot of reviews about this gun. Some great, some bad. I mounted a leupold ultimate slam scope on a tally one piece mount and purchased IMR white hots to propel TC shockwave sabots. I shot the gun today and I followed a strict cleaning process every two shots. One damp presoaked TC cleaning cloth, followed by two dry patches. I cleaned and relubed the breech every 4 shots. At fifty yards I was hitting the same hole everytime I shot. Great Gun!

                  no I belive the only thompson center 50 cal muzzle loader that has inner changeable barrels is the encore but I hope thompson center would consider making inner changeable barrels for the triumph in the future but I can tell you fron experiance this a very accurate gun right out of the box ...

                  I use the Nikon Omega BDC Reticle 3x9. No problems with it so far. perfect for muzzle loaders.
