The headphones are bulky in comparison to models that insert into ear canal, but for the price you can't go wrong. I have high pitch hearing loss in both ears and I can actually hear better with the headphones during normal conversations as well as approaching geese, but when high decibels are produced it muffles them out very efficiently.

The good news is that I returned them to G M and they promptly and without arguement refunded me; now that's called service!
G M has won my loyalty and they will be my first choice for products they carry - try them & C.

Comments about Radians Electronic Hearing Protection:
I am using these for range purposes only. The sound quality is very good. I would have hoped they would be more durable. I hope they last a year. They feel too tight on my head. Not comfortable for long use. Maybe a couple of hours shooting. I bought a pair for my son as well. He is 15 and shoots Rifle. He liked the way they felt on his head.

Look at the earmuff pieces - there are notches at the top and bottom of one of them - a small slotted screwdriver or even dime will work; can be done with fingers alone too. Just pop out the ear piece, plastic and pad as one and batteries go behind it - snap piece back in.Answered on 7/5/2009 by Smithkovitz from King County, WA
