Q:is the loose powder as accurate as the pellets using the same weight of powderAsked on 4/10/2012 by Anonymous from pa
Q:I am looking to reload my 30-06 ammo. I used Dupont #IMR-4064 smokless powder years ago and don't know if it is still available.
This product's description is for muzzleloading. I believe that's for blackpowder weapons and not what I am looking for.
Since it has been such a while since I did reloading, I'm not familiar with the legal requirments, of NY State, regarding the purchase of the powder. I have my weapons registered in New York City. Thank You for your assistance.

A:IMR 4064 is still available. You might, however, be better off going with a newer powder in your 30-06. I use Varget from Hodgen. You should get a NEW reloading book and look at the loads in there and buy powder accordingly.Answered on 3/3/2010 by Matt from PA
