wolf polyformance 148gr 7.62x54r ammo is great ammo. it fires everytime, you get all the same advantages of surplus ammo without worrying about corrosion. only downside to this ammo just like the surplus is that the powder is a little dirty. NON CORROSIVE and very accurate through a good mosin nagant rifle.

I bought a box of this stuff not expecting much as it was so cheap. it looks the same as russian surplus ammo from the 40's but is shoots a little cleaner and is alot more consistent. i could get about 1.5" groups with it at 50 yards but i will try 100 yard groups tomorrow. the only issue was it was a little hard to cycle after shooting, it caused both of my mosins to get sticky bolts but they still eject you just have to muscle it a little. i might buy it again but i like the brown bear and silver bear ammo best and for the extra $1 its worth getting that, but if this was only available i will still buy it. look for the brown bear 174gr "match" ammo, it is labeled match and the other 174gr is not. the "match labeled kind got my 2" groups at 100 yards with iron sights and seems to work best with all mosins especially with worn out barrels.
