Maybe the color of the arm rests didn't match for somebody (mine did), but the color problem aside, these seats are a major upgrade to our Boston Whaler 13. The arm rests are not flimsy, they are supported by an aluminum bracket that is 2 inches wide and 1/4 thick. The aluminum in the bracket must be worth $20 alone. The seats are very comfortable to sit in compared to other seats we tried that cost 2 to 3 time more. My only minor complaint it that they don't come in all white. The gray does get hot after sitting in the sun for awhile. Otherwise, very nice and comfortable seats.

The arm rests need stronger fastening design and should be adjustable, in and out.The arm rest broke, the first time used, by leaning against it, the screws pulled out. The arm rests are comfortable as are the chairs, providing good back support for a long day on the water, for the price.

Comments about Wise Premium Fishing Chair With Arm Rests:
The chair itself is okay- do not pay the extra money for the arm rests.. they are bolted into plastic. I broke the arm rest the first trip out. Took the other off because the plasic was broke and unable to fix.

Comments about Wise Premium Fishing Chair With Arm Rests:
The seat is not very sturdy, and is more a child sized seat then for an adult. It is not worth the price I payed. I seriously doubt this seat will last more then two seasons on the water. We were very dissapointed with the seat.

Comments about Wise Premium Fishing Chair With Arm Rests:
Installed as captains seat on my flybridge. Very comfortable seat. It is narrow with armrests attached but gave me more space on the flybridge and was perfect fit for me.

Q:
MY friend is rather heavy, about 250#. What type of pestistal would you install and what type of base for this seat and is this system strong enough to handle his weight?
I will be installing it on my new Twin Vee Catamaran, 14' boat.
I want a chair with arm rest that will be strong enough.
It will be mounted on the front deck.Asked on 2/21/2012 by tasul from gilbertsville, ky.0 answers

Can this seat be mounted on a pedestal already on a boat. We want to replace only the seat on the original boat pedestal. Are they pretty much universal mounting holes?Asked on 3/12/2011 by Anonymous from Kentucky1 answer
VERIFIED BUYER
A:
Yes, I believe it would be an easy swap. Bolt holes appear standard. I merely removed the old seat from my pedestal and bolted the new one on. The attachment bolts are provided with the seat.Answered on 6/15/2011 by Eagle 1 from Grants Pass, OR
