We installed these seats in a small 16' aluminum boat that had the old back-to-back seats which took up too much room. With these seats, we put the drivers seat on a box where we keep our first aid kit and fire ext. and the passenger seat we put on the pedistal so we can remove it easily when we need more room to haul gear. It works great!

I bought these seats 2 months ago knowing they were the economy chair. That being said I thought I would get a few seasons out of them. I finally installed 2 weeks ago and used the boat about 5 times. Already all 3 seats the aluminum frame is just bending and so the seat is mishaped and ready to fall apart. Complete junk, Just wish I had known because I would have spent the extra money to buy something better. DON'T BUY

My husband leaned back to pull crank the motor and the back of the seat bent backward. He weighs 175 pounds. He was able to bend it back somewhat. So the interior of the back is "bendable". Needless to say it probably would not perform well if you were very heavy.

I was concerned as to if this seat would work for what I actually bought it for and that was my tractor. It worked perfectly. It even came with the mounting screws of which was a surprise. The seat is very comfortable and has great back support which my old tractor seat did not have. Plus tractor seats retail for minimum $90 if you can find them for that price and then they don't even have a back on them.

            It is recommended to be mounted to some sort of pedestal or slide system and comes with a mounting base on the bottom. Not sure how sturdy the seat will be if it is just sitting on the floor.
