      The Chair shipped from the wise warehouse, not from overtons. When it arrived the box was pretty mangled like it was thrown from the truck! the chair had scratch marks on a couple of spots. thank fully the cushions weren't damaged. I cleaned the scuffs, and it seemed alright. seems like a pretty tough chair if it can survive some delivery man's carelessness. wish it didn't cost as much.

          This captain's chair was a birthday gift for my hubby since we were updating the seating on our pontoon boat. He installed it fairly easily since it had a universal mount. After the "maiden voyage", he exclaimed that the new seat was great - which made me happy, since he's very particular about all his boats!

              A:

              Universal mounting plate means that it will allow you to mount the seat to any seat mount that fits on any pedestal. There are four parts to a pedestal style seat and this seat is only one of those parts.
