Product Summary

The classic design and dependability of the Winchester Model 1894 have made it one of the most famous firearms ever produced. The complex but reliable receiver mechanism was designed to permit the cycling of longer cartridges than previous Winchester rifles could permit. When the lever is pulled down, it brings the bottom of the receiver with it, opening up more space and allowing a longer cartridge to feed without making the receiver longer. This Centennial '66 Edition rifle was built in 1966 to commemorate the Winchester Repeating Arms Company's 100th year of operation. The fancy Centennial '66 was based on the post-1964 action with a gold-plated receiver and forend cap, a curved brass buttplate, a saddle ring, and a heavy octagonal barrel with a full length magazine that's nicely polished and deeply blued. The straight hand stock was fashioned from select walnut. This rifle features a post front sight with an elevation-adjustable rear sight and includes the original factory box and hang tag. Its wood, metal, and bore are all in good condition.
