Product Description
Most varmint guns are easily recognized by their heavy barrels, bipod mounting studs and long range scopes, but they are far from being equal. The new Winchester Coyote Light is the rifle to take along for varmint and target shooting fun. It has been carefully trimmed of any unnecessary bulk but is no lightweight when it comes to performance. The matte-blued receiver and medium-heavy fluted stainless barrel mount  into a skeletonized aluminum bedding block that is set in a lightweight carbon fiber/fiberglass composite Bell and Carlson stock for superb accuracy. Flow-through vents on the fore-end reduce weight and help cool the barrel during long strings of fire. A Pachmayr Decelerator pad helps soak up recoil.

Comments about Winchester Model 70 Coyote Light Centerfire Rifle:

I have this rifle chambered in 270WSM. It's only a varmint rifle if you reload and use lighter weight bullets such as Sierra's 90 gr HP with Hogdon 414. I have hunted deer with it using Sierra 130 gr SBT and Hogdon 4831SC. It's a very accurate weapon with the fluted, heavy barrel mounted in a bedded Bell & Carlson stock. I get .5 MOA at 100 yds and it doesn't open up much when backing up to 200. If you can find one of these buy it. I bought mine when looking for another type of weapon and the clerk pulled this one out by mistake. I ended up buying it and I'm not sorry I did. .325 is a bit heavy for varmints
