Product Summary

A fore-bearer to the popular Model 70, was the first successful production run bolt action for the Winchester Firearms company and the start of legacy that is carried on today. Using a Mauser 98-type action with a non-detachable, 5-cartridge box magazine, the 54 was produced from 1925 until 1936. The Model 54's receiver is made from fine nickel steel and the stock features well-executed checkering. This rifle includes a Lyman rear peep sight and an aftermarket recoil pad. Its stock has been modified and there are small cracks around the receiver. Over all, the rifle's wood is in fair condition and its metal and bore are in good condition.
