A fore-bearer to the popular Model 70, was the first successful production run bolt action for the Winchester Firearms company and the start of legacy that is carried on today. Using a Mauser 98-type action with a non-detachable, 5-cartridge box magazine, the 54 was produced from 1925 until 1936. The Model 54's receiver is made from fine nickel steel and the stock features well-executed checkering. This rifle features a blade front sight and an adjustable rear sight. Its wood, metal, and bore are all in good condition.
