The John Browning-designed 1906 Model was the second in a series of slide-action rifles that Winchester produced. The rifle is a takedown model produced as a lower-cost alternative to the 1890. While later models could chamber .22 short, long, or long rifle, the earliest 1906s could only fire .22 short. This 1909-manufactured rifle features a Model 62 barrel and post front sight with an elevation adjustable rear sight. Its wood and bore are in good condition and its metal is in fair condition.
