Designed by John Browning, the Model 1885 High Wall is known as one of the finest single-shot rifles ever produced. Its falling block action is noted for its strength and incredible inherent accuracy. The grade I walnut stock is a straight grip style with a Schnabel forearm, finished in a satin, oil-type and finely checkered at the grip and forearm. The full octagon, semi-heavy barrel is 28" long and gloss blued. The High Wall Safari edition of the 1885 also features a Buckhorn rear sight with a Marble's gold bead front sight, sling swivel studs, and a Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad. The steel receiver has been drilled and tapped for a tang sight.
