Billed as “the gun that won the West,” the Winchester Model 1873 is one of the most significant firearms in American history. With a production life that spanned over three decades, the Model 1873 is one of the most popular firearms ever produced. The popularity of the 1873 led to Colt’s creation of the Single Action Army, which used the same ammunition. The modern Winchester Model 1873 has a beautiful walnut stock with a with a satin oil finish that’s velvet smooth to the touch. The rear tang is drilled and tapped for an optional tang-mounted rear sight for a more precise sight picture. This lever-action rifle features a blade front sight, an adjustable buckhorn rear sight, and a 10-round tubular magazine and comes with the original factory box. Its wood, metal, and bore are all in excellent condition.
