                    We are plagued by feral pigs; they run in herds of 10 and more, eating everything imaginable (and some unimaginable!). They are extremely aggressive, and can be dangerous in situation where there is a sow with young pigs nearby. They are destructive to lawns, and can utterly wipe out a garden. You can smell them when they are nearby. This is why I carry a Mossberg 590 which holds 9 shots. If a hog charges, you want to stop him with one shot; if that doesn't work, the Mossy has plenty more for follow-up shots. This area also has many rattlesnakes; 12 ga 00 buckshot is very effective in stopping them I once shot a medium-sized one where I had a clear shot at its head; one shot, and the head totally vaporized!
