Product Description
wildgame_innovations Made specifically for hog or predator hunting, the weather-resistant Varmint Light is designed with PIR or photocell activation and features 3 power settings (high, medium, and low). PIR mode detects motion within a 3 to 4-yard perimeter of the unit and stays on for 20 seconds or as long as motion is detected. Photocell mode turns on at dusk for 2, 4, or 6 hrs. Adjustable LED arms to position light. Includes 12 replaceable color lenses (3 each in red, green, blue, and clear), universal mounting bracket, and necessary hardware. Operates on 6V rechargeable battery (spring-top or tab; not included). Solar panel compatible (6V). Battery life: up to 5 days in Photocell mode (high power) or up to 200 days in PIR mode (low power). Weight: 3 lbs.

      Mounted it to my feeder. The motion sensor is nice but had trouble with small animals. This will not be my primary light b/c the light (on high power setting) is too dim. Suppose if you're hunting close (archery), it might work. My blind is about 70 yds away. I'll probably end up buying something else (EWT hog kill light) as my primary light.

        I really like this light. It shows off the land pretty well and shows the hogs and dogs really well. As far as the guy complaining about it having a bad range, it was probably just a bad one. Everyone gets a lemon every once in a while. Wildgame has gotten much better as a company on all aspects.[...] better products.

          I bought two units to start hog hunting under deer feeders. Reaction distance for motion sensor was 10 yards if movement directly in front of unit. Best attribute is directional adjustment aiming of each light and ability to use up to 3 different colors of light filters. PIR use is most useful. Would recommend option to have different color LEDs rather than color filters so light intesity is not diminished.

          I bought this product for hog hunting and the 3-4 yard range advertised is wrong. I had my wife walk by the thing and she had to get within 2 ft to make it light and sometimes had to wave her hand right in front of it to make it light.

          I recently purchases a Moonshine Varmint Light, installed a battery and it worked perfectly in the house. I set it outside on a chair about 16:00 set on AUTO. After dark I did a walk test, works great! I turned it off and at 05:00 the next AM turned it on. When the dogs walked about 20 yards in front of the light, it worked. I'm ordering another one.
