Comments about Whitetail Institute Secret Spot Private Food Plot:

The site preparation and planting instructions are easy to understand and follow. I just cleared a small area of trees, brush, and debris down to mineral soil. Took the instructions a step further and roto-tilled the area. Limed and fertilized the plot as per instructions and re-tilled the area. Spread the seeds as instructed and lightly raked the surface. In less than a week there was noticable germination and a month later I have a nice food plot growing! Deer are already visiting the plot as evidenced by footprints. I forgot to mention the plot is on a south facing slope, clay soil with good drainage, and receives approx. 5 hrs. of direct sunlight with additional time in filtered sunlight. It seems I needed more seed than described to cover the plot area but I may have just seeded to heavily. Great Product!
