I planted tall tine turnips at the beginning of august and holy cow! It's almost 3' tall and the bulbs are almost the size of a baseball! The leaves are bigger than my face! Its by far the best food plot I've planted, the seeds that didnt have soil contact found soil. Just plant, water and by the next day you'll have 1'' shoots! I even have deer eating it already! I can't wait to see what late season brings!!!

Had heard alot of good things about turnips, purchased three bags and planted. They ate the tops some what after it froze, after that they didn't touch them. The deer didn't paw them up like expected or told. Don't do well in damp conditions either, had a little rainy weather one week after they had come up to about 6". Pretty much stunted them and didn't grow anymore after that. Wouldn't use unless you have well drained soil, and didn't see much deer attraction to them.

I purchased two bags of this product for a new one acre food plot that I did this summer. I haven't yet gotten to be rewarded for using it, but have been told about it from other friends who have used it. They have said that late fall and winter deer continue to come into it and paw at the frozen ground digging the turnips out.
