Does an awesome job. Price is a little steep for what you get but if you are starting a new clover plot, this is a must if you have grass competition! If you don't take care of the grass, it will out compete the clover.

The foodplot looked like 50% weeds and grass before spraying. The plot was just under 1/2 acre. I used the 1/2 acre amount of Arrest and 4 oz. of oil (same oil used with Slay) with 10 gal. of water from an ATV sprayer. I sprayed Slay with oil one week later. Three weeks later the plot is 95% free of weeds. (the grass was 6-8" when I sprayed).

With the correct mix of water this product will take out the grass with no problem. I missed a spot in my food plot and what a difference there was between the treated and non treated clover plot. The plot is 5 years old this year and with this product and with frost seeding I will be able to keep the plot going without the expense and labor of starting a new plot.

Comments about Whitetail Institute Arrest Grass Control Herbicide, 1 Pint:

I purchased Arrest herbicide at Gander Mountain for [$] a pint, to control the grass in my clover foodplot. The instructions state to mix 2 ounces of arrest with 1 gallon of water and spray when the grass is short. I sprayed my foodplot twice without any results so I mixed 2.5 ounces of Arrest with 1 gallon of water and sprayed the foodplot 2 more times without any results. I also spot sprayed the foodplot twice. I called Whitetail INST. and was told I had to use 3 ounces per gallon and had to add crop oil and nitrogen to the mix, which I did, AGAIN without any results. Don't waste your money. I have better luck controlling grass and weeds in my plots by mowing.

1 pint will treat up to 20,000 square feet. This is concentrated and will have to be mixed and sprayed.
