Comments about Western Recreation Slider Recurve Bow Stringer:

I'm just starting to seriously get into archery, and I've started my collection with a couple basics recurve bows. After reading some comments online, I decided that a stringer would be a much better tool to have, rather than using the "step-through" method and risk twisting my limbs (especially once I get some higher-end products).
I like this product because it's relatively simple, and very affordable. Everyone who's identified themself as an expert agrees that stringers are the way to go for recurve bows, and this fits the bill perfectly.
The one thing I didn't find thrilling was the lack of instructions. Having never used a bow stringer, or even strung a recurve bow before, I was completely in the dark. The only instructions provided came printed in very small type next to a very small picture on the back of the very small packaging. It took a couple minutes to puzzle it out, but thankfully it's not complicated at all-works just like it said once you identify everything.
So far I've only used this for my PSE Snake that I use for basic target practice and sharing with my younger sisters. Once I get my "real" recurve bow I'll be sure to keep this on hand. I'm confident it will hold up when used with a higher-poundage bow, but if not I'll submit a separate review.
All in all, I'm very happy with this purchase. It's not the top line model, but neither is it the bottom. I would recommend it to anyone who needs a bow stringer.
