Comments about Western® Flavor Smoking Chips:
I used the apple chips on pork chops this past weekend. Like the maple these gave great flavor to the meat. Neighbors again loved the taste. I will be buying more of these chips in the future. You don't need very many to do a batch of chops about 1 cup will last.

Comments about Western® Flavor Smoking Chips:
I find the Apple Wood Chips to be my go-to wood chip for imparting a nice and mild smoke flavor. The smoke is not as heavy as the Hickory or Mesquite and goes really well with poultry or pork. I have used them with equal success on my gas grill, charcoal grill, or electric smoker. The directions say to soak them for a while before use but they will work just fine dry when you are in a hurry, just keep them off to the side of the heat source. For the gas grill I make a pouch of heavy duty foil with some holes poked in one side and put the pouch as close to the burner as I can. For the charcoal grill I just sprinkle them at the edges of the charcoal. The electric smoker has a smoker box and is the easiest to use if you enjoy smoked foods. Good luck and happy grilling!
