        Best Uses

Comments about Poly-Planar Weatherproof Stereo Housing:

The case warped so it is not waterproof any longer, it looks a 100 years old (but actually 6 years), the frame was too flimsy (the CDs would skip) and had to be replaced by a custom aluminum frame.
It looked nice the first year, but degraded quickly. The boat sees the sun ~ 20 days per year.

Comments about Poly-Planar Weatherproof Stereo Housing:

I like the design other than it doesn't have a remote wire hook up for an amp. It also only has one wire for the power instead of one 12v and a 12v switch wire. It is compact and seems to be water tight (not sure how to find out different). Its easy to install. I would buy this again if I was not going to have an amp onboard.

It hooks up the same way as on the back of a head unit. It takes a male plug.
