Product Description

The Jak-Hammer SST broadhead offers field point accuracy with a cutting diameter of 1-3/4". The pivot-style mechanical broadhead features a Trocar tip aligned with three stainless-steel blades, producing a cut-on-contact continuous cutting edge. Each blade is 0.036" thick. 100-grain.

I have been Bowhunting 17 years in Alabama and have taken approximately 50+ deer to include Mule Deer in Colorado. I have used all the popular brands of heads, one with the same type tip for many years. I have always had problems with accuracy with fixed blade heads. I once even tried going to a fixed blade head with a smaller diameter to improve accuracy but then started losing animals due to reduced cutting surface. I have been using this head for approximately two years and love it. I was skeptical at first having never hunted with mechanical broadheads before, I have always been kinda old school. The first animal taken by me with this head was a Whitetail doe that weighed approximately 115 lbs. and I shot her at 35 yards and she went only 25 yards before dropping. Since I have taken five more whitetails with this head and none have run further than 75 yards. Bottom line, I LOVE THIS HEAD!

I have used the WASP SST 1.25 inch broadheads for a while with good success. The 1.75 inch model is even better. Does not make sense to pay $40 for 3 rage broadheads when these are just as good.

I shot a buck quartering away. Went 40 yards and died. Very good penetration. I have no complaints. Work just as good as a rage in my opinion, but cost less.

have had great results with this broadhead! Been using rage and schwackers and have not been happy with the results. This head puts a HOLE not a slit in them!! It's simple, Three blades at 1.75" cutting can't be beat!!! All shots have been pass through with amazing blood trails!!! Shot this 169 1/3" buck with it and it wasn't a great shot but had great blood and found him 80 yards away. Hit only one lung. the head is now junk, Bent one blade and the main body where the blades slide in is also bent some, don't know if that was from hitting the ground? Best Broadhead for the money I found hands down!!! ( and I tried almost all of them)

  I would recommend them to be a one time use.

  for the most part yes. If you hit bone or a rock you might bend the main body, or if the blades don't close up tight after, then you would need to get a new one(s). Other than that I will reuse them twice before I replace blades.

  In the past I have been able to reuse this product without too much effort. You do have to clean the groves out where hair and other debris collect for the blades to go back in their grooves. If you bend a blade replacements are available and not too difficult to replace.
