Comments about Vortex® Strikefire Red-Dot Scope with Hunting Mount:

I picked one up based on feedback from a friend and the price compared to some of the high-end (expensive) red dots out there. It took no time to mount on my Ruger 10/22 and sighting in was simple. I probably shouldn't be using CCI Stingers in the gun, but they reach out accurately out to 100 yds. with the 2X magnifier that comes with this red dot. Great battery life as well. I'll be moving it to my AR-15 next.

Comments about Vortex® Strikefire Red-Dot Scope with Hunting Mount:

This is a decent entry level/mid level red dot scope. For the price, it can't be beat but there are some design flaws. 1. The power switch is located in a very poor position. If you lay your rifle on it's left side, you can activate it/turn it off. 2. The power switch is very sensitive as well. 3. The flip up scope covers are a pain to close. Sometimes it takes two hands to close and you may have a tendency to brush the power switch on thus causing you to waste the battery life when the power is unknowing on but the scope covers are closed. 4 . The included 2X doubler was a good idea but really narrows the view and eye relief. I believe this scope came out in early 2009. I would wait for the next gen to come out.

            Service and delivery comments:
