    I have used a number of binoculars over the last 50 years. These are by far the nicest and most widely useful. Great optical performance even compared against expensive German optics. I bought them in anticipation of an upcoming month long trip to Namibia.

      I intend to use these for safari and birding. I read multiple reviews and visited many binocular websites to understand the pros and cons of various binoculars. These are a very good value, and I couldn't find any other binoculars with other ED glass in this price range. They are toward the low end in terms of weight for 8x42 binoculars. They are easy to focus and the eyecups are easy to use with or without glasses. There are other products out there with wider field of view, which is nice, but the combination of price, features, and optics is what brought me to buy these. So far, I'm not disappointed. If I had to nitpick, the lens caps are very cheap feeling and likely to get lost.
