The boat stays cleaner and dryer.
5 minute super easy install. Been in 2 weeks and the boat is dryer and mildew is now a thing of the past.Very pleased and would highly advise for any ski boat.

This is a great Idea however...The construction is poor at best, the wires and soldering were poorly done. Once I redid the solder job it seems to work fine. The fan was broken right out of the bag. [...] Now that I've seen it I have decided NOT to cut a hole into my cover and place a fan that might not work for long...

Comments about Marine Mooring VENT-SOL-AIR Solar-Powered Ventilating Fan For Boat Covers:
This would be great if it also had a 9v rechargeable battery so that the fan could run into the night. Will install shortly and hopefully will take care of the mildew problem under the canvas

Comments about Marine Mooring VENT-SOL-AIR Solar-Powered Ventilating Fan For Boat Covers:
They seem to work so far, I haven't had them on long enough to tell for sure or not.
My only concern is the solar cell and electronics holding up, they don't seem to be anything high end at all, but even if they fail it will still vent out air.

Comments about Marine Mooring VENT-SOL-AIR Solar-Powered Ventilating Fan For Boat Covers:
Installed a few weeks ago and is still working fine not as bad as some reviews but the real heat has not started yet. The fan is not super powerful it is more of a slow rolling air exchange I have it on a 17' bowrider with a mooring cover and wouldn't put it on anything bigger than a 20'. It's not going to cool off a cuddy it just moves the air so mildew doesn't grow

Q:
What are the dimensions, weight, maximum air flow rate?Asked on 5/14/2009 by BJ from Houston, Tx1 answer
VERIFIED BUYER
A:
specific dimensions of the product I cannot tell you. I mounted mine within a 5" square on my cover (where the pole mounted). it probably extends about 3" above and 3" below where it mounts in the cover.
There are no measures of airflow given, but I did light an inscence stick to verify that the fan was working, and smoke was observed exhausting out the top of the fan (better than nothing, right?)
Weight, again an estimate, about 8oz?Answered on 8/31/2009 by tick from NY
