I'd recommend them only because they're the only straps of this sort available. I've have the boat 11 yrs, an bought 3 sets of straps

Comments about Overton's Universal Boat Cover Tie-Down Straps, 12-pack:
I am having to move my boat to a new launch area each time I now launch, because of low water conditions. Currently the 3 miles of road that I have to travel is not paved yet and very dusty for vehicle and especially boat and trailer. I bought a cheaper boat cover to put on for the dirt road and will save my good cover for storage purposes. I added new tie down straps to the new cheap cover so I could simply walk around the boat and attach the cover at each tie down loop. Now I don't have to pitch the old straps in several places under the entire boat to tie down. This way is a lot quicker to cinch down the cover on each trip down the dusty dirt road. Hopefully I can keep some of the fine dust from coating the inside of my boat.

Q:
I can't tell from the photos or description.. Do the individual straps have a loop sewn into the opposite end to enable the straps to be secured to the trailer frame rails, and then the other end of the strap gets bucked to the cover?Asked on 7/30/2012 by Lakelizray from Lake Elizabeth, CA0 answers
Q:
when using these straps, can you trailer with the cover on when towing?Asked on 7/7/2009 by Anonymous from morgan hill, ca1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
That is what they are for, but it depends on your particular boat cover and if that material is trailerable.Answered on 1/25/2010 by Justin from Overton's
Q:
How do these straps "attach" to boat cover? I want to replace frayed and broken straps on my existing boat cover, which are sewn on. Will these work? Thank you.Asked on 5/6/2009 by B&B from Camarillo, Ca1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Thank you for your inquiry. To utilize this strap system you would need a loop that is sewn into your boat cover. This will not replace the loop that is already sewn into your cover.Answered on 6/8/2009 by Donald from Overtons
