    Straps work well for a couple years

    The nylon buckles work well for a year or 2 and then snap due to weathering. I'd appreciate metal buckles then I wouldn't have to replace straps every several yrs.

    I'd recommend them only because they're the only straps of this sort available. I've have the boat 11 yrs, an bought 3 sets of straps

                The straps were used on a Crownline 180 BR to secure a factory supplied full cover. The straps were uses to secure the cover to the trailer for transport at speeds of 70 mph and distances over 100 miles. There were no problems.

                  Besides securing my boat cover, I use these straps for battery hold downs, and also to secure items in the boat, such as coolers, etc... These straps are, without a doubt, the best on the market! The only downside is, the hot Texas sun can destroy the buckles in a couple of years.

                      Thank you for your inquiry. To utilize this strap system you would need a loop that is sewn into your boat cover. This will not replace the loop that is already sewn into your cover.
