Comments about Under Armour Women's Ridge Reaper Pant:
I purchased these looking for something that was comfortable, quiet, and warm. The pants are both quiet and kind of warm, however the comfort has left a lot to be desired.
The pants aren't made for my build, they're "hippy," wide around the hips and smaller at the waist. A women's classic cut/style. Oddly enough the legs are quite tight and boot cut with zipper bottoms... Hard to layer any bulk underneath, crotch is huge, and they don't come up high enough in the back letting the draft right in.
The pants advertise as the UA cold gear line, but i'll tell you now they're thin, I was skeptical to wear them out...Tried them in the yard for awhile with no baselayers... I was frozen in 20 minutes. The first day- I was warm, after of course I purchased the $75 UA 3.0 extreme base later and another pair or cold gear sweats, so overall I don't think these could keep the chill off and the cold out as a stand alone pant in any weather, especially COLD Pennsylvania weather.
I know that women are constantly searching for the right hunting apparel; I know i'm not a XLarge Boy or a Small Man, But fact of the matter is; there IS no affective line of women's hunting gear that i've found yet.... Under Armour included. :) So for the money you'll spend here, special order something in Men's Xsmall an you'll be much more satisfied.
Overall- Warmth, Size, fit, style/deisgn, pockets & rear-rise all FAIL. Quetness and water resistence PASS.
