Q:Looking for a marine carpet we can use on a second story wood deck. require a water proof backing. Don't want water seeping through the carpet then between the boards of the deck to drip on our customers.
Can you recommend a carpet? Thicker the better.Asked on 6/2/2014 by Jay from United States
A:Thank you for your question.
After speaking with our carpet manufacturers--we do not offer a carpet with a 100% waterproof backing. Per the mfg--if the backing is 100% waterproof--then the carpet will hold water and mold/mildew very quickly.
Vinyl on the other hand is 100% waterproof--not sure if that is what you are looking for. For more information--please feel free to call our technical services line for more assistance.Answered on 6/10/2014 by Anonymous
