Brass Fore-End Nose Cap
The 1866 Yellowboy lever-action rifle was a marked improvement over the Henry rifle, becoming one of the first true cowboy lever-action rifles. The Yellowboy had a convenient new type of loading gate that passed cartridges through the side of the receiver, making the lever action more functional and allowing for the installation of a wooden forend. Another design improvement of the 1866 Yellowboy was the addition of a satin walnut fore-end, embellished with a brass fore-end nose cap. Other features include a 24-1/4" barrel, a solid brass crescent buttplate, and a case-hardened lever.
