When I got the item that had batteries incd. they were dead. I called customer svc and was told they could not replace the item if the batteries were dead and I should replace the batteries and see if it worked then. The batteries cost as much as the lite. Got another call from custormer svc and they said that I should have sent it back but that since I had followed their instructions they would refund my money for the batteries. The unit worked fine with new batteries. Great Customer svc.

This light is easy to use and lasts a long time. However, if you want to use it in low light conditions it is too bright. It causes a halo effect that keeps you from seeing your target. I modified mine by using some electrical tape to cover some of the light that emitted.

Comments about TruGlo Tru-Lite LED Sight Light:
The light didn't work immediately, thought the batteries were dead. After it turned on, then wouldn't come back on and played with it for a while. This went for many attemtps, comes on then doesn't After I was going to give up on it, I realized that the batteries were not making contact in the base section. Took out the batteries and the O ring inside prevented batteries making contact with the copper colored base. I cut a piece of copper and made a circle and put it into the base over that O ring and then reinserted the batteries and now it works every time I turn it on. If you buy one and it comes on intermittantly then try this fix instead of tossing it.

VERIFIED BUYER
A:
Konrad, I was able to alter the light to fit my Tru Glo sight. I'm sure you could rig it with a home made bracket to fit just about any sight. For $15.00 you can't go wrong. It works really well lighting up your fiber optic pins. MikeAnswered on 2/17/2010 by det. bambi from East Troy, Wi.
