Comments about Tru-Fire Hurricane Glove Release:
Much better to use than a wrist release, makes it feel like you'r pulling less weight. At times the release get's in the way when trying to get something out of a pocket, but not worth going back to a wrist release. Love it and would recommend it.

Comments about Tru-Fire Hurricane Glove Release:
i have yet to bowhunt, so i consider myself a recreational archer, at leas thats what gander mountain gave me as an option... anyway, this release is great, ive used a strap release before and thought it worked just fine till i bought the hurricane glove. my bow immediately felt like it lost about 15-20Lbs of draw weight. it distributes the draw weight over your whole hand instead of just your wrist. the trigger is a little heavy, but thats a good thing. it helps with a surprise release, which you want. and the "pistol grip" in your palm really helps to draw the bow back. it also helped shrink my groups, i was shaving fletchings at 40M. whenever i go to the range i tend to shoot 150-200 arrows, and my arm isnt tired after a session. i attribute that to this release.

Comments about Tru-Fire Hurricane Glove Release:
Having used the Winn release for years on my High Country Safari with great success. When I found out that the Winn is not made to shoot with the D loop very well, I was in a dilema on which release to purchase. I had retired my High country after 16 years, and purchsed a newer bow with state of art crafsmanship. Not only was the Winn a good bow release, the glove type fit allowed me to increase the pull back lbs. The sales person at Gander Mountain showed me the Tru-Fire Hurricane, it had all the features I was used to in the Winn release. The only negative thing I would say about this release is the same thing I would say about the Winn. It is not a release that gets out of the way if your trying to get something out of your back pack. This release doesn't just hang on your arm, it is made to put on, then secure in to your wrist. In order to take it off you have to pull the strap from around your wrist, which means hearing the velcro being pulled apart. This results in a loud noise, so I very seldom take it off. Nevertheless, the postive things about this release out weighs the negative. It is well made, and I can see no reason that it will need to be replaced in years come. There is a release by Tru-Fire that allows you to bend the launching part of the release back toward your wrist, which frees up your hand. I never had a chance to try one of those, you may want to check one of those out first. If the fold back ones don't give you the additional pulling stregth that this one does, then I would stick with the Hurricane. The [$] dollar price tag is high, but keep in mind that this one will be working twice longer than the inferior ones. My only reason for the rating to be a 4 instead of a 5. I based it on the fact of the noise it makes when pulling off.

Comments about Tru-Fire Hurricane Glove Release:
After trying many releases, I always had to curl my hand back to comfortably reach the trigger. This release was very much like shooting my pistol so it was second nature for me. Release is smooth and the pull at 70lbs is effortless.

Comments about Tru-Fire Hurricane Glove Release:
I have bought and used about 11 different releases and I always compare them to this one. The only other release IMO that comes close is the T.R.U Ball Hunter release but its almost double the price. This release is worth the money even if youre on a budget. It is well worth it for great function, comfort, and reliability. You will be more than pleased!!!

Comments about Tru-Fire Hurricane Glove Release:
I love this release. I have had 2 hand surgeries and have had trouble with other releases giving my hands cramps, or being very touchy. This one beats them all.

Q:
What sizes do they come in? I need smallAsked on 2/14/2010 by Anonymous1 answer
A:
They come in one size fits most,a have a pretty small hand and it fit me. You can alter it a little bit by sewing the velcro on the strap a little bit further back, thats what I did and it fits even better. Not hard to do either, and it won't ever malfunction because of my alteration or void the warranty.Answered on 5/3/2010 by Mathews Monster Man from Jacksonville, Florida
