Comments about Scientific Anglers Trout Fly Fishing Kit:
This is an excellent beginner rod. Got his to get into fly fishing. On my second time using it I caught 15 bass. You will need to buy different flies and probably some tippet. Other than that this is a very good, reliable first rod that has everything you need to start fly fishing.

Comments about Scientific Anglers Trout Fly Fishing Kit:
If you are curious about flyfishing this is a great way to try it out without breaking the bank. I am still using this rod/reel after 10+ years. It is not a "high end" product by any means but it works. For the price bracket it deserves 5 stars, overall compared to higher end models it is a 3.

Comments about Scientific Anglers Trout Fly Fishing Kit:
Started in the Spring with the Trout season, mived to Bass Fishng in the early summer, played with panfish throughout the summer, then caught myself a beautiful 35lb King Salmon in the fall. Found nothing wrong with this package and have told many friends and fellow fisherman about it and how they can save money

Comments about Scientific Anglers Trout Fly Fishing Kit:
I just bought it this month, first day I try it on the backyard I was casting and after 10 min the rod "crack" in the second piece (starting from the tip). same as the other comment, I didn't even put it in the water[...]and I also bought a second one for my son that he still didn't try it(so I will have double problem!!)

Comments about Scientific Anglers Trout Fly Fishing Kit:
took out of the box. Put the pieces together. was attatching the line. I gave it the slightest bend and SNAP! It breaks in half. I had not even put it in the water once. I bought it yesterday, will be taking it back for a refund. the rod was bent with minimal force. the top was at the most this far bent. \.
