This is a good feeder for the money really like the digital program. It holds about 3 and half bags of corn and is a little flimsy if you have it up by itself but i put teepost down beside them at a angle like the legs are then wrapped wire around them and nothing will take it down now! I have a bunch of pigs where i live so i have to do this. Also only reason i gave it a 4 is because to hook the feeder part up you have to drill 4 holes and to hook the latch to the top of barrel you have to drill those too( i left latch on top off because if you put the lid down and push down it stays down pretty good by itself) other than that i give it a pretty good rating.

Comments about Wildgame Innovations Trophy Hunter 30-Gallon Tripod Digital Feeder:
Almost didn't buy this because of some of the negative reviews. I am very happy with the unit given the price. The legs are the only problem that I see with the unit. There are 2 ways to solve the problem. One would be to buy three pieces of steel pipe. Obviously, that one adds to the cost. I spent an extra 5 minutes and drilled holes where the leg segments attach and put in a sheet metal screw to hold them in place. I also did this where the legs attach to the hopper. I had no problems with setting it up myself. Set the unit up when it is empty. I think a few of these guys are trying to tilt it up with corn in it. It looks good, timer is easy to use and works good. For the price, you can't beat it.

Comments about Wildgame Innovations Trophy Hunter 30-Gallon Tripod Digital Feeder:
RATED FOR 225#. HAD LESS THAN 200 IN IT AND THE LEGS BENT AND THE POLY DRUM CRACKED IN SEVERAL PLACES WHERE THE LEGS ATTACHED. THE LEGS ARE EACH MADE UP OF 4 METAL PIECES THAT SLIDE TOGETHER AND FALL APART IF WEIGHT IS NOT CONTINUOUSLY ON THEM.
THIS ENDED UP BEING A WASTE OF MY TIME AND HAD TO RETURN THE 2 I BOUGHT.
ALSO TAKES ABOUT 1-2 HRS TO PUT TOGETHER AND NOT ALL HOLES ARE DRILLED AND THE RUBBER GASKET HAS TO BE GLUED OR SOMETHING TO KEEP IN PLACE WHEN THE BARREL IS ASSEMBLED.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS UNLESS YOU ONLY PUT <100# OF FEED IN YOUR FEEDER.

Comments about Wildgame Innovations Trophy Hunter 30-Gallon Tripod Digital Feeder:
Need Drill/driver alot of nut and bolts. Holes are not pre drilled for parts which other brand has. Connectors to motor was a pain wires slip off easy, and not much room given for battery. still price was right, and works fine

Comments about Wildgame Innovations Trophy Hunter 30-Gallon Tripod Digital Feeder:
I was looking for a way to maintaining a good bait stand for turkey and deer without spending 200 dollars a month on corn at 10.00 a bag. The feeders have cut my expense in half. They are actually paying themselves off.

Comments about Wildgame Innovations Trophy Hunter 30-Gallon Tripod Digital Feeder:
When i opened the box i was a little surprised... lots of assembly required also some drilling. Took me about 2 hours to get it together. When i went to set it up the legs do not stay together...(meaning that each leg is broken up into six 1ft pieces and they do not lock into place) its a two person job setting it up in the wild. Once i got it set up and put some corn in to weigh it down it worked great! Lots of settings really throws the corn. Recommend for the baller on a budget.

I understand 4 feeding times but but can I control the amount of corn released and how little or how few of seconds can I set it for?
JackAsked on 7/8/2009 by Jack from Romeo, Michigan1 answer
VERIFIED BUYER
A:
yes, you can set how many seconds to send corn out (1-10 seconds, i believe), you can also set the rpm of the speader (high, medium, low) to release more or less corn and the distance it spreads. you also do not have to use all four feeding times, you can turn them off and use only one, two, three or four.Answered on 8/5/2009 by Jesse James from Jacksonville Fl
