This is a good feeder for the money really like the digital program. It holds about 3 and half bags of corn and is a little flimsy if you have it up by itself but i put teepost down beside them at a angle like the legs are then wrapped wire around them and nothing will take it down now! I have a bunch of pigs where i live so i have to do this. Also only reason i gave it a 4 is because to hook the feeder part up you have to drill 4 holes and to hook the latch to the top of barrel you have to drill those too( i left latch on top off because if you put the lid down and push down it stays down pretty good by itself) other than that i give it a pretty good rating.

Comments about Wildgame Innovations Trophy Hunter 30-Gallon Tripod Digital Feeder:

Almost didn't buy this because of some of the negative reviews. I am very happy with the unit given the price. The legs are the only problem that I see with the unit. There are 2 ways to solve the problem. One would be to buy three pieces of steel pipe. Obviously, that one adds to the cost. I spent an extra 5 minutes and drilled holes where the leg segments attach and put in a sheet metal screw to hold them in place. I also did this where the legs attach to the hopper. I had no problems with setting it up myself. Set the unit up when it is empty. I think a few of these guys are trying to tilt it up with corn in it. It looks good, timer is easy to use and works good. For the price, you can't beat it.

I was looking for a way to maintaining a good bait stand for turkey and deer without spending 200 dollars a month on corn at 10.00 a bag. The feeders have cut my expense in half. They are actually paying themselves off.

Comments about Wildgame Innovations Trophy Hunter 30-Gallon Tripod Digital Feeder:

This has been a lifesaver for me . My mother became disabled and needed to be able to feed animals several times a day .The weather here lately has been horrible subzero weather then freezing rain. They wanted to regulate the times of the feedings and amount. So feed would NOT be left overnight for the racoons to raid .This works like a charm . I added a bucket over the spreader to direct the feed to a pan and covered it with a teepee type structure to keep feed dry. It works great.

Uses a 6v rechargable battery which runs about $10 and will cost you another $13 for the charger & if you want a solar panel it will run about another $25 which will eliminate the need to charge the battery after the initial charge.

                  A:

yes, you can set how many seconds to send corn out (1-10 seconds, i believe), you can also set the rpm of the speader (high, medium, low) to release more or less corn and the distance it spreads. you also do not have to use all four feeding times, you can turn them off and use only one, two, three or four.
