Comments about Trailer Valet Jack / Dolly:

It was easy to install, and I left my old jack on my trailer. I imagine that someone would want to take it. The nice thing is that it is compact in size and light enough to toss into the garage once hitched. But it does tilt up if you want to leave it on there. The real use for me is backing my trailer back into my side yard. Before I had to come in at a jack knife angle, since it's so narrow, but now I can get it close, unhitch and crank it back in while adjusting the angle via the trailer valet. Plus the brake lets me go back and put down the tire chucks.

The bad things are if I was going up the whole driveway, my arm would get tired from cranking, it wouldn't work on a large toy hauler since it's weight limit is 5K lbs, but that's great for my 19' utility trailer.

Compared to other trailer movers that are motorized, this is way way more affordable and safer imo.

Comments about Trailer Valet Jack / Dolly:

Will not move my trailer. 17ft. bass boat. Tires just spin. On a slight incline but not over 5%. Not enough weight on the toungue end of the trailer. Be sure you have plenty of down pressure on the unit or it will not work. "recomment to a friend"? Def. depends on your intended use.

Comments about Trailer Valet Jack / Dolly:

          Received promptly and well packaged.
          After install began discovering issues.
Noted both tires had 12 lbs. or air (max is 85)
Inside tire really gets stressed when changing directions
Moves as advertised but the tire valve stems were improperly aligned and were scraped and torn up by the lower portion of the Valet's housing.
Took it for a quick drive & trailered in the stow position. It sounded like a box of bolts rattling around.
Called Overton's and returned this afternoon.
This weighs almost 49 lbs. & had to pay over $42 to ship it back!

Concept is good, I wanted it to work so badly but more R & D needs to go into this before serious big boat owners will install these on their trailers!

I need this to move a 17ft. bass boat in and out of a parking area that is too tight for vehicle hook up. Roughly 10 feet in distance, on about a 15% incline. Will it do the job?

              A:

It depends on what the trailer/tongue weights are on your boat, but as long as it is under the 5000lb max trailer weight and 500lb max tongue weight, this item should work perfect for you. It will certainly make steering the trailer in and out of a tight parking spot much easier.
