Traditions introduces the next revolution in muzzleloading-the Vortek StrikerFire. In development since 2008, this patent-pending rifle takes it to the next level by taking away the external hammer and using an internal StrikerFire System. To cock the gun, simply slide the striker button forward until it locks and the rifle is cocked. The recessed de-cocking buttons permit quick and quiet de-cocking of the firearm. Also equipped with an automatic de-cocking mechanism for faster locktime and more versatility in mounting your scope and lightens the weight.
The Vortek StrikerFire is outfitted with the TAC2 Trigger System-a two stage competition-style trigger set at 2 pounds. The Stow-N-Go Removable Butt Pad allows the butt pad to be removed with the press of a button for convenient storage inside the stock. This gun also comes with the new Quick-T Ramrod Handle which functions like a palm save and t-handle all in one, making it easier and more comfortable to load your rifle. The handle has a t-shaped piece with brass jag that can screw in to function like a work or cleaning rod. Features the 1-piece Accelerator Breech Plug, Dual Safety System, Premium CerKote finish with an LT-1 Alloy Frame, and Speed Load System. Already drilled and tapped for a scope. Includes a solid aluminum ramrod, Hogue Comfort-Grip Overmolding, and sling swivel studs.
