Comments about Traditions Slotted Cleaning Jag:

Use with cleaning cloths for good clean of the barrel. Make sure that the "patches" (store bought/old Tee Shirt/soft cloth) are not too
big. You do not want to get it stuck in barrel.
If you do, unscrew the rod, take out nipple,
use pipe cleaner to dry out port and add tiny
bit of powder/pyrodex (etc.) put nipple back
add cap and fire in a downward position into
ground. If no go try a tiny bit more. Keep your powder dry and good hunting!

Comments about Traditions Slotted Cleaning Jag:

When I had a misfire and had to pull the ball, I was able to screw my ball extractor into the stuck ball by placing this slotted cleaning jag on the portruding end of my ram rod and turning it with a small screwdriver. I'm sure there is a T-handle for this but I was able to make due with this tool. BTW it also works good to clean your bore!
