Q:Where can I find bullets for this gun?Asked on 7/12/2010 by Anonymous
A:Hi, There are several sources you can use, including Gander Mountain (which I would try first since they carry a great inventory of products). If you plan to do a lot of shooting, I would recommend getting a lead melting pot and gather up old wheel weights from local tire shops, as well as a single cavity or a two cavity bullet mold (either ball or conical)and a dipper and cast your own bullets.Answered on 8/20/2010 by cajunwriter from Commerce, TX
Q:Is there any kind of waiting period for California residents who purchase B P rifles or pistols ?Asked on 1/4/2010 by Anonymous
Q:do u need a hand gun permit for this black powder pistolAsked on 1/3/2010 by Anonymous
A:You need to check the laws with the authority having jurisdiction in your location. Federal law does not consider this piece a firearm. HOWEVER much is at risk! For example, in New York State, with it's draconian set of codes and restrictions, the gun is OK for a wall hanger. But the minute you also have access to FFF or round ball you need a permit, no exceptions. If caught, you will be charged AT A MINIMUM with criminal possession of a weapon, 4th, A FELONY. You will loose ALL your guns forever (they will be melted down). As a felon you'll never legally own another gun.You will NEVER hunt or shoot again. Good luck finding gainful employment with a felony conviction. The mandatory MINIMUM sentencing is two years in state prison, and the judge has no discretion. It won't matter who you are or how much money you have. BP revolvers are a blast to shoot and this is a good deal on a nice piece. Please follow through on your local handgun regs before ruining your life over this offer.Answered on 1/17/2010 by CPW 4th from Right side of the bars, NY

Q:Is There a Large-Grip Version of the 1858 Remington New Army .44 caliber Revolver? I Have Man Sized Hands, the regular grip is too Short.Asked on 3/23/2009 by Bart the BlackPowder Man. from Fort Worth,Texas.
A:Theirs a reason for the short grip on any cowboy action revolver, your little finger is supposed to fall under the butt of the revolver in order to keep the weapon from rolling back in your hand from recoil, this is controlled by your small finger being under the butt of the pistol to.prevent it. Also quicker acquisition of your target & hammer in firing position.Answered on 4/14/2013 by Patriot from Lakeland,ga.
A:The grip on my gun are fine .
I know many people like better the rubber grips but I believe that this kind of gun the rubber grips are no made for it .
I do have rubber grips on my 22 caliber black powder revolver made by American Arms Company. It did make the 22 caliber revolver must better and easy to handling .

Q:Can you get additional cylinders? Does it come as a kit with powder flask etc?Asked on 3/21/2009 by lots of questions
A:Yes, there are sources that carry cylinders. I would try Gander Mountain first and they do carry accessory packs for black powder rifles and pistols. I carry 3 loaded spare cylinders for my 1858 when I hunt (a lot of hogs and snakes in the area). Hope this answered your questions.Answered on 8/20/2010 by cajunwriter from Commerce, TX
Q:Does this revolver come in brass frame only or does it also come in a steel frame.Asked on 12/4/2008 by Anonymous
A:I do own one of these in stainless steel. It doesn't look as authentic but it sure does keep the gun from coroding and makes it easier to clean up. Look around for the SS version.Answered on 6/10/2010 by BF from Wilkes-Barre, PA
