Comments about Tikka T3 Hunter Centerfire Rifle:

I purchased a T3 Hunter 30-06 and added a Leupold VX1 scope to it about 6 years ago from Gander Mountain and I am very happy with the gun. Right out of the box I did not need to bore sight it and it was shooting on the paper for my first 3 shots. I hunt in Wisconsin and have fired it in warm weahter to very cold weather. I have never had a problem and am confident with my gun.

Comments about Tikka T3 Hunter Centerfire Rifle:

I have the left handed 30-06 hunter. I installed a leupold VX-1 4-12 x 40. It took me 30rds to group and zero on the account of poor boresighting. I was shooting 1.5 inch 3 rd groupings at 100, from the prone unsupported. The recoil due to the light weight of the rifle is ferce, and the butt pad has the composition of a hockey puck. I'm not a small man and I was hurting after a 2 hr range session. This is a excellent hunting rifle due to the weight and pointablity. As a range target shooting gun not so much, the varmint or tactical t3s might be better for that application.

Comments about Tikka T3 Hunter Centerfire Rifle:

I am retired law enforcement, 25+ years. Been away from both shooting and hunting for several years and recently decided to get back into it. Bought this rifle for general hunting based on it's Sako heritige and the recommendation of the salesman.
Right from the start, I was impressed with the quality of this weapon. 2" @ 100 yds first 5 rounds out of the box. Smooth action, adjustable trigger, very comfortable stock and easy to bring to point. I have zeroed it in at 200 yards and can tell you that this rifle is every bit as good as the Rem 700 I used in SWAT and IMO is a better platform. You could easily take this out to 600-700 yards in 30.06 with the proper optics. More if you practice.
If you're looking for a real quality weapon that won't break the bank I suggest you consider the Tikka T-3 in any caliber.

Comments about Tikka T3 Hunter Centerfire Rifle:

I have a Tikka Whitetail Hunter in 30-06. The wood is gorgeous, it has a nice palm swell for a right handed shooter, and the trigger is the best I've ever found on a production rifle. It breaks like glass. Accuracy is pretty good; 2" groups at 100 yards off a rest, but in all honesty, I think it can do much better. I just have to find the load it likes best.
