- the grease fitting is not easily accessible
- according to my trailer mechanic, there is no advantage over traditional bearing buddies.

Clever design with grease fitting built into the hub so they work like Super Lube axles. Vortex sells these as their "premium" hubs so I was disappointed to find the bearings and seals are made in China. Biggest problem is that the grease caps are proprietary (they screw on and have an O-ring) so if you loose one or one is damaged you must replace it with a Vortex cap and because of that I would not recommend these unless you can buy a spare set of caps with the new hubs. Overton's does not carry the caps and I haven't yet been able to find anyone on the web that does carry them. After putting on the new hubs - which is very easy - I discovered the grease caps are larger diameter than the hubs and the wheels will not go over them. This necessitates removal of the caps to change a flat. The caps screw on, unlike conventional caps, so you will need a tool to remove them. Be sure to add that tool to the tools you carry to change a flat!
