Comments about Tie Down Engineering Tie Down High-Impact Pontoon Trailer Guide-Ons:

Great solid product. They work great! However, they were too tall for my pontoon trailer, so when I installed them I had to use a metal saw to cut them down about 8 inches. After I did that they installed easily. I love how easy it is to load the boat now!

Comments about Tie Down Engineering Tie Down High-Impact Pontoon Trailer Guide-Ons:

My friend bought a pair of this guides and I seen how they assist getting his pontoon on the trailer even with winds and white caps. So I had to get a pair because for those who own pontoons know it can be a bear to load a pontoon on the trailer during these times. The only problem I've had it getting damaged items everytime I got a set delivered (3). The way these guides are placed in the box without protecting the plastic covers casue them to be scratched up upon delivery. The edge of the base of the guides move loosily in the box, rubbing against the plactic guides. After getting the product three times, I finally called the manufacture to complain about the packaging. They told me the packaging wasn't an issue and the way I mounted the guides were the problem, at that time the guides were not mounted to the trailer. The manufacture agreed to send me a set of plastic guides to replace the damage ones. And speaking to my friend, he told me his was damaged upon getting them in and after getting two sets he decided to just keep them because he wanted the extra assistance the guides provide loading his pontoon. The bottom line is, I beleive this item is a great product to add to any trailer to assist guiding the pontoon onto the trialer and prevent damage to the trailer and boat. I highly recommend this added feature. I just wish the manufacture would take some added time to protect their product from damage. Overton's sell quality items and this doesn't hold to Overton's standards.

U bolts were not correct size, had to order ones that fit, other than that these are perfect. Easy to install took about 10 min. Wish I had gotten them sooner.

In swift water loading of my pontoon boat the other style post guides were bending over. So I purchased these heavy duty ones and haven't look back since.
