Comments about Tie Down Engineering Tie-Down 4-Step Dock Ladder:

I am not sure I am going to order it again since it rusts and the screws do come loose. Agree 100% with other comment re lock washers, needs stainless hardware too.

Prob a good ladder if you take it out of the water most of the time when not in actual use.

Comments about Tie Down Engineering Tie-Down 4-Step Dock Ladder:

Our lake fluctuates in water level about 22 ft per year so when our dock goes dry this ladder is easy to protect (it hinges up on to top of dock). You need to buy the 'quick release' hardware to do this.

Well made & easy for us to climb up. Steel is better than aluminum (in my book). Stronger than aluminum & since it is powder coated it shouldn't rust.

It is offered in different number of steps so be sure to get the step number right (3-4 or %)

At low tide older folks and those with bad knees were having difficulty getting from my floating dock to the stationary dock. This product makes it simple for them to get tot he dock.

Comments about Tie Down Engineering Tie-Down 4-Step Dock Ladder:

The ladder needs assembly, but it is engineered for simplicity and functionality and is easily put together. We assembled it on our carpet-covered porch to prevent any of the hardware from being lost between dock boards near the water. Everyone who has used the ladder has found it stable and easy to use. I'd used a home made wooden ladder for years, and wish I had made this change years ago.

Comments about Tie Down Engineering Tie-Down 4-Step Dock Ladder:

Have purchased this product twice in 10 years but the steps rust out and fall off over time! They should make the steps out of aluminum or heavy duty plastic. Love how it mounts on our raft and removes easily for storage.
I will look for something different next time noncorosive materials
