The Encore Pro Hunter was originally developed for hunting moose in the thick cedar swamps of northern Maine. Its fast handling, compact design is ideal for hunting large game in the brush country. The combination of its 20-inch barrel, adjustable rear peep sight, and fiber-optic front sight teamed with hard-hitting caliber offerings clearly demonstrate its brush-busting capabilities. Every Pro Hunter rifle features: a swing hammer safety that allows for easy access to the hammer spur; the Speed Breech quick release breech plug that can be easily removed by rotating it only 90 degrees; the Pro Hunter extractor that can be rotated left or right for easy access to the breech; the Quick Load Accurizer, which allows the hunter to quickly load their rifle by incorporating a false muzzle design; and the TC Power Rod to allow for a more uniform load by applying the same seating pressure shot after shot. Encore's interchangeable platform offers over 90 barrel selections and can be configured as a handgun, centerfire rifle, muzzleloader, rimfire, or shotgun. With all of this in a 7 pound, 34.5 inch package that includes a recoil-taming Flex-Tech stock and Simms recoil pad, the Pro Hunter Katahdin handles and shoots as good as it looks.
