Comments about Teva Mens Wapta Waterproof Low Hiker:

I wear a size 8 but the size 8.5 fits fine. A previous Teva shoe I had seemed to run slightly small so a half size up doesn't seem too bad. There is a little slippage if the laces are not tight. The shoe is very well made and exudes quality. The sole is stiff yet cushy. A little too cushy for my liking, but still very stable for hiking uneven ground. The water proofing liner makes these shoes warm if not hot. They are not warm weather hikers. They will be good for those cool, damp northern Minnesota hikes, or even winter walks, but I'm leaving them at home when it is above 70. They are simply too warm. Even just sitting around not doing anything my feet cook. I'm currently looking for a cooler hiking shoe for a southwest U.S. trip. I would recommend these if you are hiking in the northern U.S. or the mountains, spring, fall, and winter, but they are not for warm weather.
